In mid-2004, Shuttle America contracted Aerosmith to paint three Saab 340A’s for our regional airline operation. The paint scheme required the planes to be painted in the new United Airlines scheme, which included 12 colors and a complicated logo on the tail. From the start, Aerosmith showed that they were willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right. From ensuring that they met Saab’s requirements, to ensuring a beautiful and lasting paint job, Aerosmith met the mark. Their professionalism and expertise were above the norm. In total we were having 11 aircraft painted around the country, and the Aerosmith paint job became the standard to measure all the others.
